hi my name is Conrad and I'm From the Philippines. first of all i really like Toyota more than others, my first Toyota was a 1974 toyota sprinter, (Te27/Ke25) it was powered by a 4AGE converted to Twinside Weber 45s carburetors. i called it the ORANGE PIRANHA then i shifted to other car, which is a Mitsubishi L200. i'm really into lowered rides cause it looked so good when running or even sitting on the parking lot. i called it the SILVERSURFER the because i loved toyota, and also pick up trucks, i bought a toyota 1985-86 sr-5 pickup. i called it the Project:SUPTRUCK paint job almost done. lowering the ride is next... GUYS HOW DO YOU LOWER THE RIDE HEIGHT OF THE FRONT AND TACKING IN THOSE BIG RIMS? i'm having problems tacking in those wide OFFSET rims
cool project you got there. 4x4 fenders will give you a little more clearence for some bigger wheels.
nice I like those wire wheels on the silver truck...at least im not the only one who has daytons on a mini lol
Welcome, also like the silversurfer! cant wait to see the toy done, btw how are u runnin ur pipin for the turbo?
Welcome to toyotaminis, Glad to see another toyota lover here with us! Goodluck with all your projects and feel free to jump right into the discussions in the very active forum we have here . . .
thanks for the warm welcome man! actually i'm torn between 2 options option 1: go racing set up? option 2: go lowrider set up? but definitely i'll lowered the ride heigth!
Id say lower it make it handle, get traction and go fast! With that engine its hard not to wanna go with a race setup!
Hey, a fellow filipino!!! Welcome aboard!!! Nice progress on your SR5. To quote another Toyota enthusiast about your wheel predicament, he simply states... "Offset is everything"! To be safe use an offset designed for a front wheel drive vehicle. I'm using wheels that were supposed to be an application for a newer Honda Accord. You can play with the offset a little if you want to use an aggessive tire width. Ditto on the 4X4 front fenders BTW.
