had my reservation about joinind this site, thought every one hear would only be into their slammed toyotas and might not welcome someone with a 4x4. then I thought for minute............. well my truck is a mini (even if it is lifted)and a toyota so hear i am. I got a 1980 4x4 with a 20r & 4spd still in her. I got the truck off my buddy around 8 YEARS AGO and just this last year started to wrench on her. She,s now got a 4'' lift, detroit locker in the rear & detroit true trax in front w/5.29 gears duel 2.28 transfer case and POWER STEERING sitting on 35/12.5. In in the starting stages of putting together a 20/22r hybrid to drop in her. now that i got her to pass smog i dont have to worry about the stupid emisions garbage so i get clean her up and put some extra little goodies in her. I gotta say people on this site seem to come off alot more friendly then the guys over on Pirate 4x4 IMO Ill try to post some pictures but Im alittle technologically impaired but ill see what i can do.
Welcome to the site! I'm the original owner of my '82 SR5 and will never trade it for anything. My friends from HS are still amazed that I still own it. I'm in San Jose, so if you are ever in the 408 or even the 510 then let me know! Rick
