Hopefully your seal comes out in one piece...Thats the part I'm worried about with my 73 if I ever replace my glass...someone butchered mine already.

Hose it down with a water/soap mix out of a squirt bottle before removing. Go heavy on the soap.

I found the window rubber on Ebay as well. It was a full set so it will all be replaced. It came from Thailand so the shipping was kind of spendy, but what can you do?

I did a search on Gold Glass Groups site and they show a part number for a '73...

+1 I found front windshield rubber for the '74 on cheapBay as well. No doubt from the same guy you did, it seems those Thai's have a corner on the Hilux market. They must have a ton of them over there that they are sustaining. I ordered some other parts from a 'different' ebay vendor from Thailand and they came in the same box with the same handwriting as the rubber???? :)

    thinking about purchase

I need a windshield has anyone recieved one from them from the ebay guy. Are they legit, also how does the local pickup work. I called and they want me to pay them to ship it to the local warehouse in my area. I have also been plaining on buying the weatherstrip kit off of ebay. How do they work? Would you reccomend them? Thanks

I picked up my windshield in Portland, so I didn't pay any shipping. Although I found it on Ebay, I called a number in Sacramento and paid for it with my card. When I went to the local warehouse, the were waiting for me and all went smoothly. The local guy said the windshield was very rare and he only found one other in the system. I haven't installed yet, but it looks right.
