Well guys, I'm sure you've all seen some of my truck here and there on the forum, but i haven't quite gotten around to actually posting a log on it. I really don't know where to start. I'll just say, i love the hell out of this truck, it's a Toyota. What're you going to do? It's the most reliable thing built, but i know i'm preaching to the quire, so i'll get down to business. At the moment, it's got an OBX header (the install was less than acceptable, see previous post), and as of last weekend It's now got Belltech Spindles and springs, i did a Ball Joint flip and threw some temporary concrete bags in the bed yesterday. I'm very proud of how she looks, and I have even been having fun trying to work out the kinks. So let's get to some pics. When i first got her. Took the shell off, cleaned her up a bit, but still stock height. Got the header on In the spring. It leaks really bad, but the power difference means i keep it. Getting an LCE eventually. So, as of last weekend, we have the Belltech Springs and spindles. Well i just wasnt satisfied so i decided to go for another inch.. (I'll be getting better shots of the total drop tomorrow) I really love the fact that i had to make ramps to get the thing in the shop. Other than that, My brother and i were eager to get SOME good shots out of her, but it was a little dark. So i'll be posting more pics tomorrow. Rims or no rims. ...and yes, the name of the build is a joke. lol
I want a shop that big!!! Might have to build one when I move back. looking good!!! Can't wait to see more!
I can already tell that exhaust leak is from your egr manifold bolts. The center ones are missing and your not getting a good seal. Probably warped that egr manifold. If it did get your self erg block off plates and delete egr manifold.
Thanks guys, I'm really loving having the truck finally low. Although driving low and with 18's has been somewhat of a learning curve (any pointers in that aspect would be greatly appreciated). Nam- wait till you see the 18's on it. They'll blow your mind. Nxrunner- I paid 5500 for the truck about a year ago now. Mprtftr & jctoy29- To blend both of your comments, it is definitely header design in this case. Had I taken off the cat, the down pipe would have been to short to connect to the rest of the system. So I opted to keep the cat, shortened the pipe 5" and tweaked the position of the O2 sensor (always with the check engine light now). There is definitely a leak in the front flange of the cat, and after running outside to check, I can definitely say that there is a leak at the injection tube (egr) as well. Seeing as there are no threads in the center holes in th flange of this header, I couldn't install the bolts. So I'm thinking one of my next large purchases will be an LCE header. Jctoy, do you know of a way to visually confirm that the injection tube flanges are warped? To end the comment, I DO have more pics for you all, but I have been getting a malware alert every time I open TM on my laptop (I am making this comment on my phone). So my last question is as to how I can go about getting this issue resolved. Then pics. Thanks again guys. I appreciate the feedback.
Alright guys, i'm still having a little problem with opening the website, but i am going to post up the pics now. My brother is responsible for all of the photography (including the sinister one from earlier), and he'll be with me taking pictures at Lollicup, so all the sac guys need to come down so we get a good TM turnout. Had to go back to stock bump stops up front, and i gotta order blocks for the rear cause driving with the bed loaded to level the truck is a pain.. By the way, i left my house and went to starbucks JUST so you guys could have the high def pics, facebook got that crappy versions.
That's original paint, buffed her out three stages worth a few weeks ago. Did the wheels before i got the tires mounted too. Forgot to say the tires as well, theyre 215/40 18's
