looking for mid range power, stock motor thinking of putting a weber 32/36 carb.
is there any other simple add-on to get all around power?

32/36 is a good choice . Header and full exhaust to go with that will help a lot electric fan is a good choice as well . Cam choice is a big topic . If you don't wanna. Break the bank engnbldr has some good cams for a easy swap that doesn't envolve spring swaps or different rocker ratios

Just remember that when you swap the cam you have to take the head bolts out. Some ate known to get stuck in the block and can take the threads out. Also you risk geeking up a head gasket if you don't put a new one when you pull the head bolts. Some people have no issues, other do. Just a warning.

A good mild cam that works well with the 32/36 is a 280 comp. It will rock a little at idle but i kinda like that.I would just go ahead and change the HG but as long as you dont shift the head around you might be ok. I run head studs so i have done it without changing. You will also have to reset your valve lash. Release them in the begining before you put the rocker arms on. it makes it easier to set your cam sprocket if its off. I think its like 8 intake 10 exh. Also I have had oil and **** build up in the bottom of the threads for the head bolts and it can create a hydrolic back preasure making you thing its tight but its not. good idea to clean those out.
