With help from josealex1636, yesterday we lifted the rear end off the ground. I had four leaf springs on each side. So we removed two leaf springs on each side then installed 3" Lowering Blocks and reinstalled the leaf springs. We then lifted the front end completely off the ground. We torsioned the front evenly and then put the front end back on the ground for the suspension to reset. It took us a while to do the rear end because we ran into issues with the bolts not having long enough thread. So we went to SoCal Bolt in Upland and bought some bolts for the leaf springs. It took us like four hours just for the rear end. Damn Leaf Springs and aligning the blocks in the holes were a pain in the ass. Anyway, heres some photos to show before and after. Its still pretty bouncy. Gotta remove the rear bump stops because the truck sits on them. But the front is still bouncy even though we removed em. I'm experiencing the "Ejector Seat" bounce.

Yeah I'm gonna take my bumpstops off tomorrow. Then Ill work on flipping my lower BJ's and then probably when I can afford it, I wanna c-notch my frame.
nice looking truck man, I just did the same on my 88 this weekend haha. Yeh i knew the bump stops were gonna be an issue front and back. I cut the brackets off the front as well, I didnt wanna leave any chance of metal hitting metal.
I wouldnt take the bumpstops off...just cut like 3/4 of it off..you want some kind of cushion incase u bottom out Or just C-notch it..its cheap only 40 bucks for the weld in kit from streetacos.com! Im waiting for mine right now, along with some 4"angled blocks
I am completely sitting on the rear bumpstops, if I cut 3 Quarters of it I'm not sure how close I'll be. I'll try cutting them to 3/4" for both front and rear. I also need to flare my front fenders. I definitely wanna get the 4" Angled Blocks from BeefedTaco, his **** is legit. But I'm strapped for cash. LoLux will C-Notch it and everything for $200. I wonder if his C-Notch is Weld or Bolt In. I hear welding on the frame can cause instability or weakness. You can drill holes and bolt it in.
Weld in the notch. Bolt in kits are hacktacular at best. If you can't do it right or pay someone to do it right for you then you shouldn't do it.
I don't have a welder so I wouldnt be able to do it anyway. I just heard welding on the frame can cause instability or weakness... but I guess if other people have done it and havent had a problem... I'll just have LoLux do it when I have the cash
He did my my Notch and have no prob at all..he dose great work..all he did is a notch w/o a bolts..i load alot w /o any prob..he dose solid work

Lol bolt on notch?!? Is there such thing? Haha im 100% positive that bolting a new piece of metal instead of welding a piece that u cut out is not stronger! If done correctly the welded notch will be as strong if not stronger than factory. But yah as far as bumpstops go, i was also sitting on mine, when i cut um i expected it to just sag down more and sit on the remaining bumpstops..but nope! Got about 1" or more of travel...which is more than my shocks have anyway haha!
