Hey guys I'm new here and new to Toyota mini trucks. This is my first mini truck ever but I'm already in love with it. Just got the truck last week paid only $1700 for it, and its not in that bad of shape if I do say so myself, this is what it looked like when I got it. Then today I got to work on it and put on my 4" drop blocks and relaxed the torsion bars. I also got some 50 series tires to go on my wheels. I hate the green on the wheels, thats something the PO did. I am planning on either getting new wheels or painting these. I want to pull the crappy bumper off and get a roll pan but upon inspection today while lowering I noticed the bumper brackets are welded together because some of the bolts were missing. I guess I'll have to work on that later.
Welcome to the site!!! I'm glad you are having fun fixing up your Toyota. What do you have planned for the interior? Rick
I need to replace the seat in it. The PO was crazy about duct taping rips in the seat. The entire drivers side seat part is covered in duct tape.
I wish mine was that easy. I see the 4 bolt holes but the bracket is welded in place more than likely by the PO. I'm going to get to work on it soon to get it off there cause it looks horrible IMHO.
Thanks for all of the compliments. I am really enjoying working on the truck. I think I am going to just take a sawzall to the rear bumper brackets to get it taken off.
I will try I have a friend at work that is going to help me out with the sawzall so I'll take some before and after shots and stuff. I imagine that its going to look much better after its off of there the bumper on mine is beaten all to hell.
So I do alot of spray paint space paintings and I had hail damage on the hood of my truck I was thinking of covering it up with something and got the idea of doing a space painting on the hood of the truck. Let me know what you think!
