Hale On Wheels ,it's the show in Hilmar, off the 99 south of Turlock. And 93_Toy_Mini I see you going ,coming from Nv. See you there.
I got sick of my 4 runner buckets and replaced the seats with a Dodge dakota bench that came out of a project we did a while back, turned out alright, needs some adjustments but it looks way better, ummmmmm broke my right rear switch so i gotta go grab one tomorrow, yea thats about it, oh and i looked for a set of taillights that i know are in our shop for my truck.......question is where and i gave up after 45 minutes of looking. @Truck Action, im tryin to get this thing atleast draggable for anderson but my $ situation isnt exactly where i would like it so we'll see. Ima have to play it by hour on this one, dont expect anything special if it does make it though, im thinkin about driving the mustang.....atleast i wouldnt get laughed at , ill post pics of the seat swap tomorrow, it was almost complete bolt in, back brackets are about a inch forward and 1/2 inch to the right, just needs a brace and bolts
Took the extra 7 gallon tank out and put all the input lines in the other 7 gallon, now i dont have air problems.......at all "with common sense usage". And i did about a 1/4 mile drag on highway 44, had to make sure it worked right?
lastnight, i raced my truck. i was doing consistant 18.1. then i started to power shift, 17.6! hopefully next drags i have my crane came and duals back on
93_Toy_Mini ,was good to have met you! Was a great show! No love for me this day ,but that is just fine!
This morning at 1 am i had forgot i was charging my phone at work so battery died got a jump on the way home caps died so stereo killed battery and i had to call a tow truck cuz my lights shut off as i was doing 70 on the freeway 65$ got sleep and went to pick up my 88 4runner for 200 so i can do front end conversion and swap my bench seat for buckets oh and the free scrape plates when i called tow company they gave me a discount it was 60$ to take the runner 5 times farther
for the past three days I Finished the front clip swap on my 87 sr5 now has an 86 4runner front end put in alternator and radiator. new exhaust manifold. still have to put on new front valance and swap out bench seats for buckets and a center console then its down to paint
i finally got the power steering working and with no leaks! this setup has been the bane of my existence for the last 3 weeks. the first pump i had, made a lot of bearing noise so i bought a new one. then the reservoir i was using leaked, badly. i had the two reservior hoses backwards which caused the pump to suck air. then the brand new high pressure hose i bought cracked at the banjo fitting and sprayed fluid all over. but now thats its done, its soooo much easier to steer. i dont know why i waited so long to put this stuff on.
I posted it up for trade ... Lookin' for somethin' i can fit the fam in like a nice lowered 4Runner ...
Rewelded a small fracture I found @ one of the front bag brackets. And I'm making a new front cross brace that will sit higher under the oil pan & trim away the lower part of the brackets that were hitting once in a while!
While driving with my buddy in his 370Z to the stereo shop to get some 0 gauge terminal rings for the toyota we dragged one of them brand new scion fps coupes, my buddy was pissed cause he got owned hard, those little things are quick as ****, looked pretty cool too!
today i cut out the sunroof on my parts 4runner.hopefully i can get it welded in in the next few days
today i bought a new oil pan gasket, a new exhaust mani gasket and a 10,000 hid conversion kit then i stripped the exhaust off my donor truck before coming to work
