and another $2k wasted on the truck lol

flaming river waterfall steering wheel, stainless tilt column, billet wheel adapter, column drop and floor bearing. stainless DD joints and DD rod. the wheel is darker grey like my wheels but the flash made it look lighter.

its from flaming river and yes they have it in black. you'd have to change your column or have a custom adapter built to use one though.

been toying with the lux a bit.

i got the corvair bumper narrowed about 7" and took out some of the V shape. i'm going to take out a bit more as i'm still not happy with the look, but here is where it's at right now.

i also bought some pvc pipe. it's getting glued to the dash and some door panels i made out of 1/8" hardboard. after it's all in place i'm filling the center with some .019" aluminum sheetmetal and gluing that in. once it's all bondo'd and smooth the man that gave me the corvair bumper is going to make a mold of everything, and pop some brand new panels for me. i'm pretty excited to have them made.

and i also took the safety belts from my wifes old 89 toyota cab, and i'm installed them in the hilux. they even match the flaming river steering wheel leather so i'm quite happy with them. the frontier seats that were in the 89 truck are also going in the hilux. the porsche seats i had are going in the shed.

yeah man i flip flop all the time on the projects. i really want the runner done, but i'm a driveshaft and finishing the headers away from driving the hilux so it's hard to let it sit.

been playing with the headers a bit on the truck. i finally got the drivers side ran down to where the collector is gunna be. i need to clean up the passenger header flange a bit and run that side. then pull the tubes and tig all the joints and put them back in and tack weld. then pull the cab and motor and finish weld the headers. lots of work lol
