I'm so on your nutz man, did you do ALL the work yourself, minus the powder coating?

Yeah so far powdercoat is the only thing I've outsourced. The paint got sprayed in my garage. Lol. I couldnt afford to have this work done. I can hardly afford to do it myself.

The rear brakes I got at a parts store. Mustang rotors and GM metric calipers. And I made brackets.

Yes the powdercoat and paint are a different color, but its really only a few shades off. For some reason that picture makes it look waaayyy off. Its not that bad really. And together, no one will probably catch it.

Get some new wheels? Why didn't you powdercoat the 3rd member to match?

Also, can you please show some more pictures of your rear disk setup? May be possible to show your brackets, and would you ever consider selling some brackets? I'd like to have rear disk on my yota...but don't want to pay the lcengineering price for some! Thanks!

I did get new wheels. I didn't powdercoat the third member for a few reasons.

    A. More money for powdercoat.
    B. More money due to having to have gears re-set, and new bearings once they are pulled ($500 approximately).
    C. Lot of work and more downtime because I can't assemble the thrid member myself.
    D. I want a little contrast here and there, I think the black looks good.

I will not sell brackets. You can make your own. Its not that hard, just time consuming if you dont have an O/A or plasma.

This is what the bracket looks like.

I spent about $130 doing the swap.

The brakes look good man, but unless I had some templates to work off of, I don't think I would tear apart my rear to custom fab some mounts (only 1 vehicle). Maybe here in the near future.

What is the extension off the lower arm necessairy for? And whats the long piece in the 5th picture from bottom for, some kind of brace?

It took me about two days to do so.

The extension on the lower arms triangulates them, turning them into "A-arms" and eliminating the strut rods. It also makes for a good shock mount.

The long piece, is the tranny crossmember.
