I don't know whether anyone else is familiar with this, I'm sure some at least are, but this is a big thing in the cobalt world and I was basically just wondering if anyone has ever done this to their head lights

Basically you're taking the stock headlight housing and adding a projector into it thus being able to add HIDs as well as halo's and ccfl halo's and the demon eye mod which is sick as hell, I'm trying to add pictures to show but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to haha, if you don't know what I'm talking about then just google retrofitted headlights and you'll see

The only problem I can see with it would be that they would look ****ty because of the way the lens is made, unless you can get just a straight glass or plastic piece without those line things in them, I have no idea about that, I don't know though, that's why I'm asking on here :D

alsooooo, since I'm already on this, do the 4x4 fenders bolt on directly to replace my 2wd ones? haha sorry if that's a noob question
    THANK YOUUUU

Yes, they've been done and look nice. you can actually buy them on ebay. I have a set of clear headlights on my truck. Not projectors, but they have them.

Yah pretty much the universal 7x6 headlights fit our trucks cause the headlight bucket is 2 pieces with the ring on the outside to hold it in. They also make direct plug n play HID kits. Halo's on the other hand can be found but i think the DIY version is better.

As for the fender question yes its a newb question however you are a newb so its all good

My knowledge is 89-94 so Im uncertain of your model since its an 86 however I would think it would work as well. 4wd fenders can be swapped over in place of 2wd fenders (with my year range you would have to get different corner lights and they would probably stick a bit over if not flush with the corners of your bumper but the fender being bolted on with grille and such is legit) With your model Im uncertain if you have to change corner lights. Hope that helps and welcome to TM

Ok perfect! Thank youuu, I just assume projectors rather than a plug and play hid kit for the customized look and the cutoff line being so much more cleaner, great information though guys, thanks :)

Been looking to do a retrofit myself and was wondering if you had any clearance issues between the projector housing and your battery?
