Nothing personal but Pres Obama needs to go...but with the current crop of competition he may indeed get 4 more years. Country is in trouble !!!
You rarely get the privilege of voting for your leaders, you are reduced to voting against the candidate who will do the most damage to the Constitution and therefore to your country...
There are a couple of guys in the running that I'd be Ok with, and at least one who would continue down the road towards socialism.
We could discuss which running candidate would be best for the job 'til we're blue in the face but either way we look at it, we're all screwed ... We'd be better off just voting 'NONE OF THE ABOVE' and throwing Homer Simpson into the White House ...
i say fire them all. Make a goverment for the people by the people, not for the corperations by the people. This country was founded by farmers who wanted to make this country great for their children, now its ran by scum who want to make themselves important by creating a system that keep themselves in power.... time for a serious change or else im moving to mexico. /rant
Although I agree with most of what the above posters have said, the title isn't totally accurate. A country, OUR counrty, in fact, actually DID... sort of... tax its way back to prosperity after the great depression. They did it by putting the unemployed back to work through programs like the TVA and other programs set up to put people back on the payroll and get money flowing again through the pockets of its citizens. I agree, the best way to turn the country around is to fire everyone of our representatives. The problem is, too many people are sheep and could never do it. "I don't like my candidate, but I have to vote my party." is one of the most idiotic, dangerous and downright stupid thing any votor could say or do. Voting for "change" from a career polititian is almost as stupid and backing a career polititian because he or she is "rouge" is almost as stupid as that also. If they were really "rouge", they wouldn't be a career politition! The system is designed to get rid of people like them and get rid of them quickly. So the slogan I'm going with is "Anyone but them." What does that mean? It means Independant! Not the teaparty, thinly veiled repub. independant or the dem. thinly veiled "progressive", but REAL independant! I talking the little guy that this is his first election. There is ALWAYS one of those on the ballot in every election and if there isn't, one can be written in. I don't care if the candidate is the town weirdo that ran on the pledge to make everyone drink lemonade for breakfast everyday. If he's the "anyone but them" guy... He gets my vote. Why throw away my vote like that? Because its NOT throwing it away. If enough people vote for "Anyone but them", then "They" won't get reelected. But what happens when congress and the white house is filled with freaks, idiots, perverts and weirdos? it already is. They just wouldn't be working for two distinct sides and not for us. "But, but, but, nothing would get done!!!" I hear people screaming. Oh really? Like SOOO much is getting done now? Anyone But Them... Ok, off my soapbox.
A democrat fed up with Obama that votes for the independent is a benefit for the republican party as there is no way the nation will ever get behind that independent to actually get them elected though. This is the same for a republican that votes for that independent. Just my opinion, feel free to flame.
