Has anyone V8ed a 84-88 2WD Toyota? I recently aquired a 86 that has a great body but not motor or trans and i just happen to have a complete SBC 350 4-bolt main that just begging to be ran. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Wil

I considered doing the conversion but I've asked around and it is possible. Just that the frame can't handle so much force and power. I even considered a small block 305 was one I had in the side but even with that it'd warp the frame. These trucks aint made haul so much power.

I wan't to ask, how much power you think that is? What about the guys with turbo'd supra motors on here? I thought i saw a dude putting a 1UZ in his truck, given that that is about a 270 in cubic inches (that's off the top of my head) it is still a powerful engine. 350s have been done in everything, i don't know anything about those swaps for that very reason though. They're a dime a dozen, just not my flavor. Good luck though.
