    Not to thread jack, but what size are the head lights on the Stout? I figured I'd ask here cause this thread moves a lot.

    Thanks

    Dude I frickin excited about this build man! Your a mad man with the fab work. Any plans on what kind of power plant you'll be running? Im thinking a open ITB NA 7M would be slick!

    I am a fan of those type of motor swaps. As for this build I am going with a small block chevy. I want to keep it simple and clean. The small blocks are easy to come by and find parts for. I have welded the front bag mounts and gussets. Just need to build shock mounts and weld to the rest of the frame, and i should have a rolling shell.

    Put the cab and bed on today. The bed is going to need some reworking to not look so out of place.

    I plan on cutting off the top rails and making new ones that match the cab and go inward like a newer style truck. Also I want to extend the bedsides down ward to match the cab, and while I'm at it shave both gas doors and the seam in the middle of the bedside. I would like to keep the patina but the bed just needs to be changed.

    I only had a little bit of time before winter hit (and truck gets stored outside) so I had to do a real brief job, but I extended the bottom and shaved the middle seam. Shaved the passenger side gas door and going to use a nice billet one on the drivers (will fit style of my truck when finished)

    Since I dont think I will bag it and will just go with a nice mean low muscle truck type stance (lower than it is in the picture) I like the body where its at now.

    Keep up the good work..your truck is going to be sick!

    Have not been on here for a few months. Been busy at the shop. Finally had some time for the stout. I have the front sheet metal mounted. She is starting to look like a complete truck again. Next up on the list is getting the small block Chevy motor and trans mounted up and skinning the hood. Be sure to check out the shop on facebook for instant updates on the stout and other projects going on at the shop.

    :eek: Holy sheet Terry, I thought this was a recent project. Didn't know this went back to when Steve was still at the shop. Awesome job!

    Yeah I started on the stout back in 2008 in a buddy's garage. Then moved to my house where I built the second frame. And now at the shop where I will hopefully get the time to finish her up. Might be changing my mind on the motor again. Had a nice toyota motor come up in a trade so I might go that route and keep it all toyota.

    :clapping::applause::clapping::applause:

    That sounds better, I would never put a Toyota motor in a Chevy Camaro.
