also I googled it and it says it weighs 90 pounds with the bellhousing, so do 100 pounds to be safe.

Im looking for a tranny. Since i have no 4th gear. But i think shipping would be to much to ship it to me. Hey why dont you just ship your whole truck to me since you have everything i need. LOL

interested in any trades for it? I got a weber dgv with adapter plate for 22r, chrome air filter housing. just laying around.
text me for faster response, even if no trade, so we can figure something out about the tranny.

All you need to do is swap the bellhousing from the w59 to the w58. And cut the floor just a couple of inches to fit the shifter. If not you can use the shifter location from the w59 and install it on the w58 in order to keep stock location. But if you're going to cut anyways you might as well just put the w58 as is.

Since you're auto you'll need a clutch pedal, clutch master and slave. Just look for a donor truck to do the swap. I'd keep that trans though!:waytogo:

Yes .... and No!!! I have a 88 also and it had a four speed .... I did end up getting one of the steel center w58's and I had to cut the floor a "bit " (it gets cold sometimes :clapping:)

awesome, ill go by the junkyard today and see if I can find everything. anything wrong with the w59 ? I Kind of want my speedo to be correct or at least close on this truck unlike my 89 where its like 20 mph off lol..

cool, you install the clutch yet ?

yes it will, my truck was a 4 speed and I converted it but you will need the crossmember I have, the 4 speeds is different. and you will have to cut the floor. the shifter sits back a few inches.

lol I have the same problem but it gets hot down here, not cold lol
