Ok so currently my engine is out having the machine work done so I can rebuild it. Now should while its apart replace the clutch. I belive the one in there has about 85-90k on it and it felt fine with no slipping when I drove it last.

I have found a few on ebay and dont really know what to look for. The engine is getting slightly bored over. I wont be racing it and will be looking for something to drive daily.

Oh almost forgot here is what my current clutch looks like. If I can resuse it I would rather do that.

I would say yes you need a new clutch. In your first pick you can see the groves are worn flat in some areas. It wont last much longer. I have seen the Zoom clutches and they are good I would also recommend the Centerforce clutches. I am using a dual friction centerforce and it's great.

Most all high performance units will be better than the stock unit!
I run a LC Pro Street unit/light flywheel.
You should if not go to the lighter versions ,have the flywheel resurfaced,& change out the throwout bearing!

I dunno about LC parts personally (heard nothing but good though). I have a clutchmasters oe replacement that has served me just fine. Kit came with a new throwout bearing and pilot bushing as well and wasent bad on price either. Can't really remember how much exactly...And resurfacing the flywheel was like $20 and took 10 mins or so... ps they are local in San Berdoo

Ok thanks. Ive had lc stuff, but I dont feel like spending that much. I have a week or so before I get the engine back so I can research which clutch. Prob just going to get an oe style one.

Yeah you might as well get a new clutch if your rebuilding the motor cause you'll have to change it soon anyways. And a lightweight flywheel would make your truck a little more fun to drive as it will give more power to the wheels.

Buy a Centerforce unit. Has the clamping power of the LC Engineering unit and other high performance clutches but is alot easier on your clutch slave cylinder and your leg.

Exedy makes a great clutch kit I've been using their stage 1 organic clutch kit and haven't had a problem in 20,000 miles

Ok cool. Im thinking of getting the exedy one, inexpensive and the ebay vendor is close. If money was no option I would go lc or centerforce but with the engine rebuild eating up funds I dont feel like spending that much.
