I bought this universal bucket seat, that included the rails, online which is a good fit for my 1992 toyota pickup. The rails that came with it are just too short for the original holes that was there for the old bench seat I had. Can anyone show me any rail extenders which I can use to hold the seat in place. And also im planning to change my steering wheel, is there a specific fit for the toyota? if there is, what are the dimensions? Thanks in advance. I will be posting pictures tomorrow. BTW, how can i take the dash off? the bottom part and the bezel trim has already been taken out. I just need to take the top part off. thanks in advance.
Just a shot in the dark cause some do some dont but some sliders/rails will extend already. Flip the seat over and have someone hold the front or rear of the 2 sides then press the bar that makes the seat slide and pull on the other sides and they should extend. Ive never heard of extenders but doesnt mean they dont exist another option would be to get some brackets out of a 4runner. The dash if you already have the bezel, steering colum cover, glove box off then there is like 4-6 screws 2 of them are kinda tucked up underneath towards both ends you'll need to shift some wires and have a longer handle screw driver. I think there is another 2 in the center
Brackets! That's the part I'm looking for. I need brackets for the rail. I can't seem to find one, unless I go to a junk shop which is 1hr away from me. Lol. And the dash so far I've taken 3 bolts, not screws, I will have ti find the other one. Thanks
Bolts screws whos counting hahah I call everything screws sorry. You could probably find brackets on a parts website or ebay or something. You could probably use your original brackets and then just get 2 more. Or as mentioned earlier 4 runner seat brackets fit out trucks I think 91-94. Seats in my reg cab are from a 91 4runner and they bolted right in.
I used the rails on my old bench seats and it perfectly fitted. Im goona look for another bench seat rail tthat I can use on my second seat. and btw, are there any specific steering wheel size for the 92 toyota pickup. im thinking of changing my steering wheel.
I forget the bolt pattern on them. I think the stock steering wheel is 17 or 18" diameter the steering wheel on my truck is 13" diameter but there is a spacer and a hub so without taking the hub off I dont know how many bolts the spacer to stock thing is but the hub to the spacer is 6 bolts. I think if you got ahold of billet specialties or Grant steering wheels they could probably tell you.
