Is there an affordable way to drop the back since I dropped the front now the back looks lifted and it has 3 inch drop blocks already?
Jack up the truck, support the frame with jack stands, remove the shocks and u-bolts, lift the axle with floor jack and remove the blocks, if there are clips on the ends of the leafs remove them then use a vise grip to hold the top of the center pin(this is what holds the pack together) and lossen the bolt underneath and the leaf pack will seperate. Then jus take out the middle leaf and put it all back together. And flip the overload if it is curved so it curves down like a sad face lol
Cause some overload leafs are flat, but if its curved when yuu flip it it should look like a sad face or rainbow shaped haha.
Not a 2wd but looks the same The other type overload is flat but one side had an angle on it(look kind of like a ramp), on that one the flat side should face down to the ground
The ride out back gets softer, can carry less weight before bottoming out, and axle gets closer to the frame/bumpstops.
Some people even run um with only the main leaf(monoleaf), but its super dangerous cause the spring can break.
