Hey guys, I have been a member for a little while now and always wanted to start a thread about my trucks. Finally I am going to do it, i just wanted to contribute back to this site as i really like it here. I have always been into toyota's and have always owned them... for the most part. I started when i was 16 and bought an 87 toyota pickup extra cab long box with a 22r motor. Loved that truck, in my younger years didn't do anything to it to busy chasing girls i guess. Later on i did some basic work on it rebuilt carb and fixed some exhaust parts but driving seized when the syncro's went and became impossible to shift. So when that happened I went to the dark side due to the fact it was all i could get at the time an 88 nissan long box d21 hardbody. I like it but i always new it was going to be temporary Here is a picture:

I have always kept my eye out for a toyota but nothing good would really come up. I kept dreaming of owning a vintage toyota and finally found a 73 Hilux, about 1 and a half hours away. Got this truck but didnt get rid of the nissan truck because i wanted to keep a reliable truck while i fixed the 73. Here is a pic: (the one on the right)

I have also located a 75 Hilux this one came up in a small town about 45 mins away from me i just had to pick it up.

But i really needed to replace the nissan so i found an 89 toyota pickup extra cab. I LOVE THIS TRUCK

Well i just wanted to get this thread going i am going to keep adding info of what i have done and whats going on with my trucks. I hope this is the right place to put this thread due to the fact 2 of the trucks are pre 75 but i will keep posting in this thread about all of them

Oh and picked this up an 86 MR2... I love Toyota!

Water Pump

So my 75 i found in a town 45 mins away from me and i decided to go look at it, a young kid owned it he bought it from an older man so i believe im third owner. Took it for a test drive i liked it but something didn't sound right under the hood did my haggle and ended up getting a good deal. The kid put rims from a newer toyota matrix i think on it. Here is a better picture of the truck

So i got the truck back to town and puller her in the garage found the problem water pump bearing was shot so bad you could wiggle the fan an inch insane how it didn't blow up on the way back or puke out antifreeze either. Anyways here are some shots of changing it and the new one on.

Found some yota's

well today a couple friends and I went out to scout some leads we had on some mini trucks and parts around. So we hit the road and came up with these 2 gems in the rough.

Found the owner and chatted awhile going to work out a deal for the both of these, great for parts vehicles.

I am pretty excited, my vision for my trucks is to kinda do an era correct build accessories that would have been used in the day to "pimp" it out. Don't know which truck i will put it on but regardless happy to have this piece.

How come?

Why do you find them to be junk? Hard to tune? Lag?

Sorry not posting lately. The weather has been changing here for the better so I have been out side cleaning up the yard prepping the lawn and I have a decent project for my little girl fixing her change table. I will make sure to post as soon as I can.
