I recently picked up this 77 sr5 short bed for the measly sum of $100. It was originally bought new and owned by a friend of my dads. It was later driven by his father and parked in 95. The old man told me it was running when he parked it but the headlights and wipers were not working.

possums or packrats have been living under the hood for a while chewing up wires

    plans are:
    1. clean it
    2. make it run
    3. slam it

    more updates to come...

Sweet is that yellow or more of a kawasaki green? Hard to tell in the pics. I have a wiring harness for that if you need it. :D

It's yellow and rust. I would be interested in that harness. What do you need for it and how small of a box do you think you can get it in without tearing it up?

I'd take $50 shipped for it. I pulled it out of a 76 I scrapped. I'll double check but I think the only circuit that has been touched is the stereo plug. I'll check tomorrow.

is it all one piece? The only wires that are chewed up are under the hood.

Just went and grabbed it out of the garage. It is mostly intact, looks like the passenger low/high plug ground has been replaced and the driver side low/high plug has been replaced with spade connectors. That side blinker/marker plugs have been cut too but there is plenty of wire. I took care removing it from the truck as I had planned on stripping it down to the bare minimum and swapping into my truck to shed some weight. Decided it would be easier to stop eating fast food.

cool. Im stoked to fire this thing up after 17 years in mothballs. Just to hear it run again. I am picking up a rebuilt 22r with LCE cam and header and going to use the head in this truck for a hybrid swap. It should rip. Thanks for the help.
