my headlights wolnt turn on but will if i hold the switch back i think in the dimmer position?

Is it the switch itself?? any help would be greatly apreciated Im hopeing to fix it tomorow

 

Maybe the low beam aint workin no more. Have you tried putting in new lights?

Oh and when u pull the switch back it turns on the high beams

 

If u push forward high beams stay on at least they do on mine. Dimmer switch wouldn't matter ur headlight switch may lost the spring or detent ball and wont hold or the low beam fuses are blown or lights

 

ok then the high beams work, even if they work the low beams could be out?

the fuses are fine so what should i try? a new switch is 100$ at auto zone so id rather wire in a basic switch for now if its possible im going to check the wireing diagrams in my haynes manuel and try today so i can at least drive to work.

 

Your truxk stil has the sealed beam 7x6 right? Swap one out. Its 10 bills. Buy one, swap it out, if that dnt change it then mess with the electrical

 

ended up being the switch 20 for a used one on craigslist thanks guys
