Freaking awesome, this is exactly what I would like to do to my truck. Could you please pm me with contact information for the owner. I would like to ask him a few questions if possible. Thanks!!!!!
Thanks for the comments fellas. We did the swap and our friend spent more than that in parts and labor alone for the swap, so the price is reasonable for what the truck has and like I said the truck runs and sounds great!!! Someone buy it, bag it, dodydrop it and tuck some 20's in there and ur set
Ditto. Damn. Can you fit one of those in a 79' or earlier??? Can't stop looking at that thing. Earned a spot on as my wallpaper for the week.
Absolutely, positively I need to get a hold of the people who did this swap. I sent you an email. I'm going to do the same swap but with a 2UZ. NICE TRUCK!!! James
Besides the rods, not really. The block is cast iron and it produces more torque. The non-VVT 1UZ is rated at 250hp/260 ft.lb.. The 2UZ is rated at 245hp/315 ft.lb.. I already have the 2UZ engine and trans, the only thing I'm lacking is the inside cab wiring harness and fuse box. James
the 1uz is so much lighter though......a 2uz or any iron block v8 I feel would throw off the weight balance worse than it already is.
Trucks weren't designed to go around corners! Besides I was going to install a small block Ford in it anyways so I decided it would be cool to drop a V8 Toyota in it instead.
