Hey Gang! Yes, I am the newbee! I am a Navy Vet and have owned Toyota's my entire career. I can't tell you the number of them that I wish I still had. Recently I purchased a 1978 Pickup from the grandson of the original owner and have been pampering the crap out of it. I am down to springs and need you all's advice. But first, the pics!

Sooooo, the springs.... I do not wish or intend to lower the truck as it is near perfect stock (except the rims and tires, which I didn't do but I like them). I have read through as much as I can throught the posts and can't find the solution. So where do I go to get NEW springs or coil overs if I can't get the springs. I have pieced together that the Dodge D50 (?) has the same type spring (meaning dimensions), if so, will they work on a 78 and will they lower the ride height? If there is a company out there I would love to know or better yet, aftermarket parts that will work!!!! I can hopefully add value to this community, at least I can provide some really awesome pics of this little gem of a truck. It is truly a survivor!!!!

    Thanks, Bake

    85Toyota,
Thanks for the kind words... This site is deffinately full of bad-ass Americans with the spirit of, say, the 50's when it comes to modifying thier trucks. Totally Ameican to make vehicles look bad ass! I love the looks of them all but am more of a "original" freak! All good though!!!

    thanks agian,

    Cheers!
