Well My truck started out as a high schoolers pickup. I picked it up for dirt cheap and it's obvious why. He built his own 6" over A-arms and I dint think he measured anything when he did. Not only that but there was 4-5" of BL under it. I say 4-5" cuz they stacked 3" blocks and and cut some others and stacked them. None of them were the same height!!! None of them!

I took all the body lift out, put high grade bolts in it to start. The bed was much the same and if you look in that 1st pic you can see the height difference in the bed and the cab.

Here is how I leveled the bed with the cab it's not 100% yet still need to get some brackets to hold the corners down.

This after the oem front end and v6 torsion bars swaybars and 3" drop in the rear and relaxed tbars.

And the father in-law gave me some wheels he's had around.

My photo bucket isn't uploading my other photos so I'll post those later

Here's the 3/4" blocks I cut to size and then added a 1/4" rubber mat on the frame to match the body lines on the cab with the back fiberglass fenders.

I cut a hole in the bed for the filler neck then made a bracket so I didn't have to cut a hole in the fiberglass

In the background you can see the bracket I made for the filler neck. It's just a peice of 1/8" I put a 90* on the side for strength and riveted to the wheel well

That looks cool with the flared bed. Some deep dish wheels and a painted tailgate you'll be good

Well it's been awhile but I started my 7mgte re build and swap. I started with a block that had most of the components that I needed that I bought of CL. It has JE pistons in with eagle rods. I took it to my machine shop to have them go over and check for any issues and probably a pretty good idea that i did. #3 and #4 piston rings turned in to dust when they were pulled. Luckily this pistons had very few miles on them and looks like it just over heated. So I bought 2 brand new .040 offer pistons and ring sets. Everything went together really well all ARP fastners were used. The crank was re welded at the thrust washer. The block had minimal issues and was decked to use with a MHG.

Now the problem is that I dot know which size MHG to use on it because I don't know what the original deck height was at. Anyone have any suggestions on how to find that out?

Oh and I used all new bearings obviously but i was sure someone was gonna ask.

I was gonna say it looks like a taco bed because of the bodylines look way off but then I seen the 89-95 tail lights an now I'm unsure haha but I do like the bed. Would work well with my IRS so I wudnt have to narrow it
