Thanks a-lot, really appreciate it. I eventually want to get a rear disc conversion, well see what happens.

Another option is a pre 79 axle. 53" wide with an 8" diff. I happen to have a spare. :D

I am more than likely going to just keep my rear end the way it is, its already done and go with something like this to solve the tires coming through the bed side problem when I get my body work done, still looks very clean:

That's one clean ride. I like it.

Have you thought of trying a stretched tire to clear the bed? Don't know if it would be enough for your setup, but it made a world of difference for my bedsides with the wide wheels I've got...

I wanted to keep the wheels I have but eliminate them rubbing on the skin. Got the idea from looking at my Tuner buddies' cars every Saturday night.
I went from a 265/35-18 to a 235/40-18, it's only a moderate stretch, but it did the trick.

even the most subtle stretch made the difference. are you still rubbing any, lit?

The tires do not rub at all now. Every once in a while, in a hard turn, the wheel lip rubs the edge of the sheetmetal at the wheel well, but that's different.

My tires used to rub above the flare about where Not Forgotten's bed and tire would contact.

Have you thought about shaving the lip itself? Like make a filler plate that runs along the whole top. Never seen it done but would look sik

    I do this..... :rolleyes2:

I am working on this myself with a different project. Its a lot of work... I've seen it done twice, and if done wrong it looks weird to me. I saw it done with a flat piece, and the back of the cab has a radius, and it looked off. I had some pieces made the same radius as the cab..

I see your a local and I like your ride. I have a 4Runner that I'm building into a wheeler but have my eye on a '94 Std cab 2wd that I'd like to do something like what you've done to it.
