Ford taueus fans or volvo, or land rover fans (all dual fans) and fair quality.

    check junkyards

various Lincoln town cars had a very high flow fan, some of them were 2 speed. Hot Rod Magazine wrote about them a year or so ago, I'm sure a search will show what years are best.

flex a lite lightweight fan blade replacement instead? IMO electric fans are a waste of time. I can see them being useful if space is limited. Then again I am from Canada so cooling isn't quite as major of a thing 99% of the time.

I run Ford Taurus fans on my Toyota 4x4, Street Rods and Customs- $25-$30 at most junk yards around here. I have my own relays with 176 degree sensor and 2nd speed is tied into AC. I also can select HI / lo or overide manually. The fan moves a lot of air and non of my cars ever got hot even in extreme heat and stiuck in traffic.

Thanks to all who responded. SD YOTA,SUNCOMB1, I have a couple of Volvos, but they are all single fan cars. I'll look for a Ford Taurus fan at the junk yard..any idea of what year to look for?
suncomb1 did you just pull the relay and sensor from another car?
    Thanks,
    Stan

No, I bought my wiring, relays, sensors, etc. from Ron Francis Wire Works and then designed my own system. I also have an electric fan on my engine oil cooler.

What is affordable? I got my Black Magic fan for $130 on ebay from Flex-a-lite. Just search them, and if you aren't in a hurry, one will turn up. Mine was a returned unit which showed no sign of install and works perfectly with the full warranty.

I am using a '92 Ford Taurus cooling fan $35.00 from the salvage yard that i believe puts out about 2800CFM and i have it wired to the High speed to cool the AC condenser as well..
The Bosch relay kit came from ebay for $25.00
I used to run these on my Mazda RX7

    Here are the pics.

It fits neatly on the Hilux radiator:

Plenty of room or gap i should say:

Here is the wiring done the right way.. the trigger comes from underneath the dash by the steering column:

Where are you tapping for the signal to turn the fan on? I'm interested in doing an e-fan for my truck. I swapped the belt driven fan on my Volvo wagon for a Volvo 960 E-Fan. Only down side to that fan is the high speed draws some serious amps, but the low speed keeps everything cool (plus I'm running Redline water wetter in the coolant).

I have one...just one of these 10" guys on the 20r in my 1st gen celica and it cools just fine even one hard pulls.

    Electric Radiator Fan

One 12" would be just fine and a 14" would be awesome as well, specially with a cheap/flat shroud fabbed up. Then just grab one of the cheap temp control kits from summit (35 bucks for an adjustable one last time I bought one for my 85 supra)

Know a guy running 2 12" on his 400hp 7m with no issues for nearly 2 years as well.
