I think for the amount those are you should go all out and buy my weber side drafts lol. other then that I dont have any experience with either of those setups.

I'm really new to toyota engines, built a dozen or so sbc and have done some drag racing, but when it comes to yota gear i'm at the mercy of the might google search engine so feel free to suggest any other carb options, cheap + good is my favorite way ;)

well what are you trying to get out of your motor, or at least with your carbs. if your looking for mpg go with a weber 32/36, if you want the most hp out of the motor go side drafts. the 38 is the biggest weber down draft I beleive. I dont know anything about that jeep thing though.

all I know is my truck had a 38 on it when I bought it, slightly bigger than stock cam and full exhaust, I could BARELY get 13 mpg out of it and it was so over carbed it was fouling the plugs and guttless as can be. On the 38 both barrels open at the same time unlike the 32/36 where the 32 opens and then when you get on it the 36 opens up too

Im NOT buying their "performance claims" especially when they say its not weber brand which means its a knock off.

My EMPI 32/36 gets better MPG than the Weber 38 did, out of the box and basic tune I went from 13 mpg to 19 around town. The reason 32/36 get better MPG is most of the time you are driving around on the 32

I would go with the RGM kit. Weber's are finicky little monsters. I don't know ANYTHING about the RGM kits, but they look better and the throttle setup looks like it would work better if it is in fact the rod linkages.

Just looks like a higher quality kit.

I read that when weber employees went on strike the had an italian company build there carbs until the strike was settled, the carbs from that time period were said to be much better than the webers prior that were built before the strike, this same company is the one who are responsibile for this carb. Not sure if there worth a try or not, I'll dig deeper.

See if there is some sort of return policy on them. You will know in a few hours if they hold a tune and seem to like the motor. 30 day return would be more than enough time to make up your mind.

yes this is another good option, another budy of mine has one on his, the adapters are the same price and he actually gets a little better MPG then me, but the 38 is like a 400-425 cfm carb as well
