I've seen a lot of people asking and not many answers about this; I have a stock 20R with a Redline weber 32/36 that I got to pass Oregon emissions. What I did was completely disconnect and remove the smog pump and emissions vac lines. The only vac lines I have are to the vacuum advance and the brake booster. Also the stock jetting for a Weber 32/36 for a 20R is: Idles: 60/50 Mains: 130/150 Airs: 170/180 Hope that helps someone; Ryland
I have a similar setup on mine, along with a header. I dont have any emissions crap on it except for the pcv valve, which i took and bought a few fittings from the local hardware store and hooked it up to the port on the outside below the carb and it works good. but my truck doesnt need emissions.
Hey guys, I just bought a 1980 toyota truck with 88,000 original miles. It has the 20R motor with a 5 speed. Any issue with dumping all the smog related stuff? Does the 1980 model have a computer? Trying to get familiar with this truck...my background is chevy small blocks and hotrodding. Thanks!
No computer, I have a 78 20r/5 spd combo in my 74.. dumped all emissions crap, capped off all unneeded vaccuum ports and runs much better without all the crap on it
