I'm assuming because they're wider and he wants to go with a stretched look. "Hella Flush!" Those extended tips are ******* dope btw. I had pulled up to SDYOTA's house without notice and noticed he had slapped those tips on which were super sick.
Looks like you will be having clearance issues as far as the "sneak peak" goes. I'm sure you will take care of that though.
I wanted to take a picture of the odometer rolling over 160,000, but it was half way through my freeway drive to work, and 70mph puts the needle right in the way. I figured what better way to celebrate, and get the needle out of the way, than 105mph at 4:30am going to work? Triple digit speeds cause blurry cell phone pictures.
That would be the 2wd. The 4wd hasn't had a top or driven since I rolled it in 2007. I should probably start a build thread on this pile.
Probably could, I barely make it out of my driveway as it is, though. My cat and frame get slammed every time, probably pisses off the neighbors!
another SD slam special..... By alisn4x4 at 2011-12-07 By alisn4x4 at 2011-12-07 By alisn4x4 at 2011-12-07 By alisn4x4 at 2011-12-07 By alisn4x4 at 2011-12-07 By alisn4x4 at 2011-12-07 By alisn4x4 at 2011-12-07
What are the drop specs? I think SD and Beeftaco needs to get a shop together. Both you guys to great work to all toyota trucks
Haha I thought the same so I asked SD Yota if he would open a shop the other day and his response was "Yea but not in SD." You know the homies would be great supporters. Drop specs are DJM 3" lowering arms, cracked torsions, 3" belltech drop leafs, 3" beef blocks, and Monroe adjustable air shocks. On board air will be coming soon.
It s the onboard air going to the airshocks or bags? I'm trying to figure out a way to have onboard air for my rear shocks.
Thanks bro. Nope no notch yet. Is yours? Yours looks pretty slammed. Looks like you are running some small wheels and low tires? Size? Keeping it static. There are kit's that you can buy that are "plug and play." Just look on stylintrucks.com or airbagit.com I'm sure you can find it at other places as well.
yea... an "official" shop would cost a heavy penny to try and keep open. as beef will tell you, shop costs are waaaaaaay too high here in SD and so working out of a similar outfit like beef now has (out of home garage) is the only way to keep costs down as well as a fair profit margin. air shocks. the shocks work just like air bags only better since they dont require the extra hardware installation. the air bag is self contained within the shock body and work fine without much air in them (about 10-20psi) for normal unloaded day to day driving. when loaded they can reach a total of about 150 psi max..... this allows you to have a low static height. then, when you load say (in Rjay's case) a motorcycle in the back, you just air up the shocks to a pressure where the truck lifts to its original level prior to loading the added weight. notch is coming........ the air shocks are preventing him from smacking the frame all the time. once the notch is done, the truck will sit much lower. in the picture, he is running 65 psi to keep a fair distance between the axle and the frame. if i let the air out of the shocks, the axle sits 1/8" of an inch from the frame.
