so i gave up on installing the glasspack with N1 muffler setup. figure, why waste money on something that will prob sound like poo. decided to go with the magnaflow 10444 muffler and put factory tailpipe back on. any of you guys run magnaflow and how do you like it?

magnaflow mufflers are probably the best performing mufflers without being annoyingly loud all the time like a flowmaster.

i ran them on all my trucks after i switched from flowmasters. im about to use one for my wagon too.

All I heard were stellar reviews so when I parted/scrapped a blazer that had a brand new magnaflow on it I jumped. Running a over pro header and 2 1/4" tube with mandrel bends it is fawking annoying. Not too bad in the upper rpm's or cruising but when decelerating or simply shifting gears it buzzes like a bee with a kazoo lodged in its ass.

Bee with a kazoo lodged in its ass! Thats gotta be the funniest way i have heard an exhaust get described! I have been on youtube listening to them, but only two were on yotas and pretty sure they were 6cy. So im sure my 4cyl would be different. I had magnaflow on my other car, but it was a turbo'd mazda beast. So i KNOW my truck is not gonna sound like that one.

here's mine--the mic was on my lap--could have been cleaner but,you can get an idea. The performance is noticable on the muffler,I noticed more sound with the air filter.

what the hell have you been searching on Youtube? lol

My truck in the videos are stock 22RE, intake battery swap, stock exh manifold, gutted cat, and a magnaflow that is offset inlet and offset outlet. ends under the bed, i would assume it would sound much cleaner with a tail pipe.

Remember, headers are thin walled piping that will make the exhaust raspy. thin walled piping has the exhaust higher pitched and don't forget that small exhaust piping will make that sound too.

this is the cause of why most honda's sound like that when they have stock exhaust and then a 3" muffler can.
and then honda's that are 1.6l or 1.8l with a 3" full exhaust....

best way would be 2.25" exhaust piping, resonator of choice to clean up the sound, and straight flow through exhaust... magnaflow is quality.

Here is 2 1/4" full exhaust (past the axle), with a Magnaflow and Throley header. It was loud and popped a lot on decel. Was cool when I was 16, like quieter most of the time now.

Running 2" on my new truck, try to keep it quieter, and running a Borla instead. I had a Magnaflow on my Golf, and was happy with it, but thats what came on it. I stopped using Magnaflow due to build quality. They claim their parts are 100% stainless, which may be true on some mufflers. But their budget priced ones (under $100) are not completely stainless, and are welded with steel wire, so they rust. I decided Borla was better quality for $20 more.

i searched 22re with magnaflow exhaust. saw a few, then got distracted by the videos on the side. i ordered the magnaflow today. i spent more than i wanted to, but figured it will be worth it. i had magnaflow on my other vehicles and liked them, so hopefully this time will be no different.
and cinn, that steel belted burn out was hilarious! were you trying to blow tire? you should have put another bald tire on other side then have someone behind recording you while doing some sparkling drifting! lol

I tried a Magnaflow on one of my cars once and they're the only thing I've used since. I like the way they have a really mellow sound while cruising and only get loud when you open it up. Construction of the exhaust makes a big difference in the sound, as well as the size and style of Magnaflow used. (The 3" ones sound better than the smaller ones.) My 22R truck with a straight through 2.5" round Magnaflow was really raspy until I added a full tailpipe; sounded much better afterwards. The 3" oval Magnaflows I have on my turbo car and my V8 Chevy aren't raspy at all and are very mellow at low throttle cruising, but they really roar when you open it up. (BTW, None of my vehicles have cats or extra resonators.)

i ordered the magnaflow part #10444 the other day. its a 2in inlet/outlet straight through glasspack lookin muffler. the way everyone is talkin, i should have gone with a bigger inlet/outlet. got tailpipe from autozone so i can run it back to factory exit. gonna run cat for now and see how it goes. those sound clips sounded really good. hope mine sounds like that.

I'm running a Magnaflow and I like it. It seems to not be as loud as the Flowmaster.

my magna flow was my favorite exhaust also. had flow masters and they suck. I think flowmaster is like the rice burners for trucks.

I just replaced the Flowmaster on my truck with a Magnaflow. MUCH prefer the sound of the Magnaflow.

Hard to tell if there's been any difference in power.
