I started putting my 4runner front end on today. Just put the headlights in and grille to see what it was like. going to finish up this weeked i hope. I got the whole setup for 200 bucks and spent 70 in gas to get it lol. got a hood, fenders, grille, headlights, 1 corner light, bumper, valence, core support, and a few other smalls I stole off the donor truck. good deal if you ask me ! remember everything looks crooked cuz my hood is allll messed up.

picked up 8 smc valves 3/8s for 50 bucks...
got a brand new 8 piece step notch for 70 bucks
And im going to go pick up 4 bags and a tank for my truck right now for 150...

If I have time to bag the front of my truck tomorrow, Ill do it but im going out of town so I dont think I will make it. Im also going to try and finish my 4 runner swap too.

BTW for the front Im using bolt on bag brackets that I got from burnz a few years back. from what Ive heard it should allow the front to lay all the way out, and if it does, Im just going to bolt them on, and have them welded for extra security. these things seam pretty beefy so we will see. Then again, they may just be temporary, till I get a real setup. Then I can pass the favor and donate them to someone else in need of them. ( or hopefully trade for a good gauge cluster :) !!)

OK so I got around to putting my 4runner front end on the truck today... was raining so I gave up on trying to get it straight.. im missing the brackets that hold the bumper up in the back so its saggy, the valance needs a few zip ties which i couldnt find mine... and I need a new grille and corner lights... but here is is for now. I will work on getting it all straightened out this week.

heres some before and after. Im going to get a new bumper, or paint this one. has a small ding, but i dont want chrome. so if anyone wants it, they can have if for the price of a non chrome bumper, new or used i dont care.

So today I went ahead and aligned it up a little better and spray painted my hood... walmart carries a color very similar to my truck so i think it looks good for now. I didnt prep the hood at all, just sprayed it with 1 coat.. here it is...

good news is im falling in love with my truck again so maybe ill scratch the v8 for now and just put it on the road...

I really need those bumper brackets. I also need a pass side corner light.

Went to the machine shop today, going to pull my 22r and have it all re-machined.

both me and the guy at the shop think the reason is knocking is either worn wrist pin bushings, or I put the wrong size bearings in. because the crank i bought used, the guy didnt know anything about it. and stupid me forgot to get it sized while is was at the machine shop. so hopefully it doesnt need too much work.

the rods were reconditioned so I know they are good on the bottom end, but im going to have new bushings put in, and have the crank mic'ed and get the right bearings.

on a side note, who thinks I should keep the chrome, or get it painted to match the body ???

and I want some opinions on my rims... I love them but I hate them too.. If I get new rims they will either be 17x7.5 or 18x7.5 and be kind of tuner and powdercoated.

That rattle can paint is pretty close!

Looks like a bit more tweaking needed with the grill fitment bro... I like the stance with them wheels, whatever you decide to get try and keep the same fitment. Leave the chrome, painted grills look to importish imo... :waytogo:

I can build you a motor if your gonna keep the 22r platform.... Let me know! Lol

I was thinking of asking you for some help on my motor lol. I just really want to drive my truck and it not break... and I was going to text you earlier today but I got distracted. I found a complete turbo setup with turbo, manifold, and the piece that bolts to the top of a down draft carb. im going to pm you the details.
