Good luck with SEMA! I've been told it's a show you'd have to go to atleast once in your lifetime. One of these days ill make it there! Installed an electric fan today... 5 more days till go time!
Had an awesome time! Had the butterflies on the first run since it was my first time on that strip (only seen it on TV). Ended up in the bracket racing class because my exhaust was too loud and had to exit behind the rear axle to race in the all motor sportsman class. Oh well, didn't matter to me I just wanted to run. Made 3 passes to get a dial in time... 1st- 14.88 @89mph 2nd- 14.52 @ 91mph 3rd- 14.62 @ 91mph First round of single eliminations... 14.50 dial in - 14.62 @ 90mph pass... I lost to a subaru (iirc) with a 16.00 dial in - 16.07 @ 77mph pass... I got him at the finish but, as you can see its bracket racing and he had a much closer dial in time than me... All in all it was great, went down with the tuning I did during the week. Only adjusted tire pressure after the first pass. I think 13's are very possible with some minor timing/jetting/tire pressure changes. Still having wheel hop issues aswell but, I'll have to save up for that later...
Here's a few shots i had time to snap... Didnt take much as i was trying to listen to the PA system when to stage... Passed tech inspection... Staged, no turning back now... lol!
