i really want a set of black tails but they only make them for 89-95 trucks, is the lighting pigtail the same and if not what all is needed to make these fit and work, its been over 6 years since i had my 89 toy so i dont remember the setup, and i know someone has done this..

From what i've seen, and looked at personally on my 85...the buckets are different, and would have to be trimmed/reshaped to fit the 85 body trucks. It's not a simple bolt/unbolt move a couple brackets.

Just buy another stock set and spray them yourself. I bought the stuff from AutoZone. I used 2 coats of it on my Accord and it came out with a nice black cherry look. It's been almost 2 years since i did it and it still looks great. Still debating if i want to do it on my truck.

    they just dont fit !!

there are many mods needed , including new tabs ,and most importantly the width at the lower body mid line is not wide enough .. you will need to build this up about .5 inch for the housing to seat properly ..
