I just picked up my 98 4runner SR5 friday (09/09/11). It is not my first Toyota, (wife has an 09 Corolla LE), this will be my first Toyota project though. I am in the proccess of getting my stereo in. Alpine CDA-9885, JL audio C2 6.5" components, 4 JL Audio 10W1s, 2 JL 250/1s, 1 JL audio 300/4 (all 3 amps are black edition slash)
That sounds like a great little setup there. I'm having trouble finding the subs and sub amps on google, youre running 500rms on four tens? What kind of box are you using? I cant wait to see the build though. it sounds really dynamic sjince youre going with the amped components along with the sub. Welcome to the forum and good luck.
thanks everyone. the amps are JL Audio 250/1 slash version 1(x2) and JL Audio 300/4 slash version 1(all 3 amps are black) the 10s are JL Audio 10W1 version 2 (single 4ohm vc they have gray cones). I will be going with a sealed box with individual chambers for each sub against the back seat firing to the rear. that should let you google them. Later down the road, I may cut out the rear side panels and fiberglass 2 10s on each side slightly angled toward the rear. I will work on getting some pics up over the next few days.
Im noticing that this forum seems mostly geared toward the older yotas, I hope you guys (and Im sure their may be gals asweel) dont mind my gen runner. of all the yota forums, minis is more my taste. I would love to drop mine but a bagged frame swap isnt in the cards for me LOL
