I'm going to look at a header that i found on craigslist that seems to be nice. I was wondering if you guys know anything about it or the brand. (OBX) i looked up the company's website and they seem pretty legit, although they don't seem to make this particular header for a 22re anymore. It looks like a great deal, just want to hear what y'all think about it.

Yea ive heard of OBX before. Alot of guys on a DOdge Neon forum i was on use their products

 

I usually hear about them from the Camry v6 guys too

 

ive heard they are cheapy stuff, supra guys dont touch em cause they melt ( on the turbo applications ) if you get it cheap do it i guess

make sure you check the flange at the head for black lines that show a warped flange and an exhaust leak. If its a leaker i wouldnt pick it up

 

Thanks for that. looking at the pics i think he knocked dents into the top to fit the EGR in. so theres that as well, i was thinking about getting his four barrel to side draft conversion as well so maybe ill try and bundle them to save some money.

 

OBX is kinda popular on the cheap import scene. They take a lot of other peoples designs and copy them. They made a header for my tacoma and it was almost exact replica of the TRD header.

 

For $100 I'd totally get those.

 

Yep, i bought it and the four barrel to side draft thing too. (for an imminent hot rod project) i ended up paying 140 for both. i think i shouldve offered less.

and i am gonna get it machined cause it has a looks like it had a leak. im just afraid to find out how much im gonna have to pay for that. (not so much that im a cheap ass, i just work at a jamba juice)

 

That obx sh t sucks. Its not worth what you paid, you got jacked dogg. When I had my first honda I used there header and the sh t cracked so I took it out and bought a dc. If your gonna buy cheap sh t shoulda bought a pacesetter, but you really should save up for the lc. Buying name brand quality parts are cheaper in the long run.
