So i checked out a truck that had a body lift but it looked like slightly jerry-rigged. The body mounts looked fine but there were spacers on the bed between the actual mounts. Basically the bed and frame were bolted AND welded together.

Ima try n check it out again tomorrow and get a better look at it. But besides the issues i mentioned, how hard is it to undo a body lift? What should i look for with the body lift situation? The rest of the truck looks good minus the paint(its jut fugly) the lift is the only thing tha has me trippin.

Depending on how it was used the floor can be trashed around the mounts. My widest truck was beat on pretty good before I got it so I had to plate the floor due to the cab rocking back and forth on the taller mounts.

It's easy to spot the floor damage from top or bottom. Her carpet was pushed up about an inch above the forward mounts.

the one im looking at is a single cab long bed. it runs so smooth. everything feels firm. throttle response is awesome. im really considering it just need a bit more $$.

only thing that has me worried was that the dude didnt wana take it to get smogged before the transfer. atleast he agreed to take it to my mechanic before the deal is done. im just trying to cover my @ss on this one. done wana buy something and not be able to register like the last POS i bought.

lets see how sh!t plays out

Im guna park it for a few days if i get it, so i can start some slight modifications. I dont want to drive it the way it currently looks. Lol

By law he has to present a current smog certificate at time of purchase if you ask for it. Transfer of registration and smog cert.

Wwwoooooowwww...., so i call the owner this morning to see when we could meet up at the shope and see wasup, and this dilhole tells me that he sold the truck yesterday for 1300 when we had already made arrangements n i was guna buy it from him for a few hundred more.

Pist off that i didnt get a call from him YESTERDAY to tell that he sold it even thoni had already called dibs on it. Im guessing he didnt wana deal with the drama of taking it to get smogged even though legally he would have to do it and i was willing to pay for it. Maybe he knew it wouldnt pass and he didnt wana look like a liar. Fckit whatever, ima keep searching.
