    ^ Thanks man.

We did pull the differential out of the truck to clean up all the bearing bits in the axle. Since I had a spare 4.11 diff and a 4 pinion supra LSD I tried to make em fit together to give the truck POSI. But it didnt go together because the supra's differential has much larger bearings than the 4cyl, 4wd housing I had.

Damn, because I would be cool to have LSD for, IDK, driving on the beach or something.

Im posting a WTB ad for one if anybody has a V6/turbo 4cyl G code diff housing.

Oh and yesterday got everything back together. Rear axles, brakes, new E brake cables, adjusted. Just need to bleed em.

And my brother painted all the wheels white. Looks cool.

    Thanks guys. :waytogo:

Took both the gas tanks out. Sanded, flushed and painted one, then reinstalled with new hoses and clamps after blowing out the lines.

The other tank is just going to be a spare.

Im going to cut out the spare tire crossmember, so no room for a full size. Painted the minispare...

Some pics while we were painting the frame...

    Rear shot...

The rotten rear floor section thats getting revamped...

Took the rear door off and figuring where we are going to revamp and support it..

Next is the steel yard to get angle, channel and other bits we need to support the rear half.

    Stock ride height.

Its perfect height to the window if your avarage height, so it all works out.

If this shaved ice truck idea takes off, I would build mine on a 4WD chassis and have it beefy.

Or maybe a motorhome thats up in the air, Might be cool.

Just to update, my brother moved back to Colorado a long time ago. He still has his chinook, but doesn't daily it. I helped put a clutch in it for him a year ago while I was visiting.

He is almost done with his bachelors degree in buisness. With any luck he will move down to Texas, and bring the chinook with him.

Been six months. My brother is being haggled to sell it (apartment living).

I've decided ill buy it (for $500), and make it my own. I won't be able to pick it up for at least a couple months though.

Can't decide which way I want to go with it.
-put my hybrid engine in it?
    -5.0 v8, maybe make it a lifted 4wd?
    -air suspension?

Either way I want to make it a nice, capable camper.

Getting exited, because it's going to be mine. Feb 3rd I'm flyng to Colorado, spend some time visiting the family, then driving this beast back home the 1 thousand miles.

As I just found out, my brother slid on some ice and mangled the front corner. My heart dropped when he sent me some pic today. rough, but fixable...Soo I'm going to need some parts. Not hard to find on rock auto, but I'd prefer oe jap over teiwan.

Got it home to Texas, gutted the back and stripped the cab. I have some work ahead of me.

Been spending too much money gathering up parts.

Dana 44 front axle out of a 1981 j10 jeep truck.

    Spring over axle flip brackets

Rancho 44044 lift springs for the front (wagoneer/jeep springs)

Spring perches for chevy 63in rear springs.

New process np205 transfer case from a 78 ford truck (I already re-sealed it)

Been trying to track down a zf5 4wd trans for a ford small block. It's just I don't want to spend 900 on a used transmission, but I might just bite the bullet and do it. Also the front spring perch location might have to be out past the frame horns, so I have to get creative there too. Never did a straight axle swap, but can't be that difficult.

Can't decide if I'm going 35s (probably) or bigger...
