Hello Well I didn't find a thread for this. Seems that the fuel pump is out. I have had two different mechanics who refused to work on my 84 4x4. They say that my truck is too rusty, even unsafe. I am guessing that I can't just put an universal electric fuel pump somewhere in the fuel line as the fuel is probably blocked by the old fuel pump.

I really like my old rusty truck and would like to get some more more winters out of it.

Because I have a full sized Chevy truck that is dual fuel, gasoline or propane, that works well, I am considering converting my Toyota to propane. That should solve the fuel pump problem, but creates the problem of winter starting on propane.

What are my options on the fuel pump?

And has anyone converted thier older Toyota truck to propane?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts offered on this.

i know this post is old but if its a 22r its on the passenger side of the engine in front of the carburator, its an easy replacement, ive already done a few of them and usually good idea to do the fuel filter at the same time wich is located behind the passenger side tire underneath, both should take less than 30 minutes to replace.
