1987 base model truck. Daily driver that is also my work truck. Currently has 107k miles on it.

Bought a set of starion wheels a couple weeks ago for a good price. They had been poorly sprayed black with a rattle can.

Spent 3 hours today paint stripping, sanding, polishing one the wheels and ended up pretty happy with the results.

Next on the list is to finish all the wheels and mount up some tires.

that rim looks nice and shiny! have you tried goof off in a spay can? You could probably let it set for a minute and wash the paint off with a power washer. I hate using alot of elbow grease, just a suggestion. good luck.

    Plans: Low and lower haha

Only problem is I need to be able to carry stuff in the bed for work.

I was reading on here that someone had a truck with the jap bed and wanted to put starion wheels on. Someone said they would stick way out. Was wondering if anyone has tried pulling the rear fenders at all? Or made starion wheels fit underneath a jap bead?

Thanks! I dont think my truck is a long bed though. Maybe it is, does look way long in that picture for some reason. How long is a long bed? and what about a short bed?

Not to sure on the measurments. Just the fact that your truck is white and the same body style my 88 was. Love it. Put some tires on those rims and your set.

Yeah Dgerfan, looking at that picture for some reason the front fender looks way long and the bed does too. Took it with my phone so maybe thats why. Wish my truck was all long and strung out like that haha.

I'm in the bay area, Out by Concord

Took my doors off the truck for a couple days. Pretty funny to see people reactions.

I'm running 16x9 starion wheels all around on my 87 jap bed. I pulled the hell out of the bed to clear the rear wheels (245/50 tires) and I increased the camber on the front to tuck them (225/50 tires).

    Your truck looks good.:waytogo:

Thanks dude. Your truck is actually one of the trucks on this site that got me hooked on the starion look. Do you have a picture looking directly down the side of your truck that shows how the pull is in the back? I looked in your build thread and couldn't really see anything.

    Update! Well not really.

Haven't done anything to the truck except drive it.

Went done to Pasadena 2 weekends ago to pick up a bike my dad bought. Truck just goes and goes, no problem.

Don't know if anyone is into these, but thought I have seen one on here before. Anyways most of my time lately has been getting thrown at this thing.

Nice truck, mine is identical down to the Jap bed and being white. I had to get rid of that ugly ass bumper on mine though.
