I am not sure this is where this belongs, but it's a question i have come across during the bag and bodydrop process. I want my bed to be stock, but raise the floor up. I want to be able to use my bed floor for my motorcycle or whatever I need to use the bed for.

I know how I'm going to raise it, but my concern is how to mount it after I have raised it. I have an idea in mind, that will still use all 8 mounts, but wanted some of your guys ideas. Thanks.

Make the mounts taller. Or make spacers

Pretty much use a piece of round metal weld it to the bed then weld a piece of flat to the open bottom of the piece of round with a bolt welded to it

ive seen and done a few where we use some good size tubing then weld a fender washer and then just get some long bolts

yeah i wouldn't recommend welding the spacer to the bed, it'll make it crack eventually.

the long bolt idea will work. i personally did a tube that had the stock bed bolt welded to a thick washer, then that was welded to the tubing making it a stud that screws into the bed. then on the opposite side of tube i welded a nut to a thick washer and used that to bolt to stock mounts. bolting it on both sides will allow it to flex and not crack anything.

i hauled a 86 kawaisaki 750 using em, and also a 2jz motor and trans without problems
