do you happen to know oregon requirements by chance??

i've been harrassed in every state i've been in except nevada, wheather i was in a vehcle or not. even harrased a few times in the parking lot at my work while waiting for my ride.one of the last times i got yanked by the cherries n berries, they actaully pulled me from my bone stock explorer and searched me and the truck. 1st thing out of the officer's mouth was "who were you meeting in the white cadilac?" (i had pulled into a parking lot to use the phone randomly right behind a white cadilac.) funny thing at the time was that i only knew 6 people in all of cali... less than a week later i got yanked again and the officer pulled his gun on me - same truck.

The most we get pulled over for here is tint, load ass exhaust and the normal stuff. We don't really get harrassed...... Except for this one guy that gets pulled over on a daily bases, one time he got pulled over for having pink rims, the cop told him it was a distraction to other drivers

I live in Vegas and I drive a 97 fullsize long bed chevy with 11" total lift and 37" tires. I'm also only 17 (though I have been told I look older). I have sped past cops, ran stop signs, ran huge yellow reds, and even drove in reverse through an entire parking lot. I haven't gotten pulled over even one time. When I get in my dads red 08 Grand Prix, they follow me like a hawk. Still haven't been pulled over, but you can see a big difference. A buddy of mine has an even bigger truck then mine and gets away with even more. I say lift that bit*h and never worry again lol. I have no clue if there are laws about bumper height or anything here but the cops honestly don't care. When I was in highschool I would run through the entire parking lot going over the bump stops to avoid traffic, I drove right in front of a cop and they just sat and watched. Campus police love my truck because one of them had one just like it I guess, I would park up on planters and curbs, not a single ticket the entire year. This was an everyday thing.

Over here in Hawaii it's the opposite of that, the lifted trucks are the first one to get pulled over expecially since most of them have super wide rims like 15x14s with about half the tires sticking out.

The cops hate pulling over huge trucks because we are so much higher them them when they walk up. They would rather not bother. Lifted mini trucks get pulled over left and right though.

A friend of mine has the worst luck with cops he got pulled over for no reason in a completely stock altima just because the cop recognized him. The cops even knows where he lives and stops by every now and then just to give him some bs about his cars and trucks

I haven't had any trouble with the truck cause it's stock height rusted pos image.

I had a ridiculously loud exhaust setup on my cressida (stock manifold and engine pipe, no cat, 2.5" to a 1 chamber flowmaster, to 2.5" out the back. sounded fantastic getting on it but insanely loud) for close to a year, drove by the small town cop (not in neutral) every weekday going to class, how many cops other times. lower wagner in chicago, ohare lower terminal of ohare (few acres of pickup/dropoff lanes and lots underground), dozens of times in my town and never got a ticket. a female friend of mine in a 95ish taurus got rear ended and the muffler-tailpipe joint broke. muffler still there, bumper all jacked up....got a ticket the next day for loud exhaust and couldn't talk her way out of it explaining the accident 12 hours before and that she was getting it fixed later that day.

Funny this thread popped back up. In the 2 years Ive owned my bagged mini Ive been pulled over 37 times- NOT ONCE TICKETED... They do try to catch you with illegal stuff like drugs, drinking, no front plate, too low, etc but once they run name and walk around the always leave after mumbling something dumb like dont ride so low or get your rear bumper replaced (my truck factory did not come with a rear bumper I dont have to replace it). My black static dropped toy with limo tint- ran 3 weeks no plates, tags, corner lights, never got pulled over?? My new Avalanche bone stock with meaty tires have had it 2 weeks pulled over 4 times all for tint and exhaust which it came from the dealership this way they gave me a fix it ticket I immediatly took it into the county clerk and told them to F off. Last night one of my buddies was layed out parked on the side of the street playing his stereo and a bike cop sneaked up on us. Told him to turn it down but then proceded to search the truck and check the VIN plates to make sure they matched. Usually in any stock car or such with a loud stereo they harass you on the stereo but the few friends I have with mini's and huge stereos get the Full rundown. Guess you gotta be a drug dealer in a stolen minitruck to have a nice stereo

this will not be good for me as my mom is an o.m.m. (oregon medical marijuana) patient (med. marijuana-i no longer smoke as i take the program too seriously even though it is not illegal at state level to smoke and i do have a card that allows me to posses up to 1 1/2 lbs. at a time, but that is in the event that i am transfering the meds from either a grower or other facility operating within the law, and bringing the meds to my mom.) if you get pulled over and are in the o.m.m. program as either a patient, grower, or in my case, care taker, the police are able to view this information on their computer, and in the county that i live in it is being mad a big deal b/c there are a lot of people not being legal about it either with or w/o cards. i may need to move back to cali really quick.

i've never been pulled over for no reason in a lowered truck.

however, when i pull into the I.C.E. facility my wife works at in my lowered crew cab chevy dually their security is all over me lol. it's funny because they will walk way around to get behind the truck to check the plates, but they never just come up and see why i'm there in the middle of the night

I haven't been harassed or pulled over in a long time. I usually spot the cars easily and if feasible, I'll salute or wave at a couple. I'll get looks for sure. I get looks from everyone to be exact.

i was followed quite static'd 86, but pulled over one night b/c of my green bulbs in my side view mirrors. he wated 15 minutes down the road to pull me over to ask me why i swerved (i was in a strange part of town i had not been in years and just got my licence, 2 lanes turned into 5 and i wasnt sure where i was going other than looking for gas and food before going home after leaving the studio at 2 am) he held me for like 30 minutes and kept asking me if i had anything to drink or any drugs on me (prolly didnt help that i was wearing a tye-dyed bob marley shirt and my wallet has a big pot leaf on it) and i kept offering him to test me and search the truck. eventually he search my backpack, which like i told him only had records and my mic in it and he told me to disconnect the green bulbs.
