Bought an 87 longbed with 200k miles for $500 to go along with my 89 show truck and 07 crewmax. Drove to BFE Saturday morning to pick it up. Special thanks to the wifey for letting me sleep in the house upon my return.

i'm not sure which reason makes you luckier? the $500 longbed (i love the body lines on the front end on those and miss mine greatly) or the fact that your wife let you sleep inside... guess that depends.. did you sleep on the floor, the couch, or actually get permission to sleep in your own bed? i think if it were me, my girl would make me sleep in the damned truck. (or at least thats what she'd tell me.)

more pics coming - I am meaning to pull out the 89, the 07 crewmax and the new 85 and do a little photoshoot...

It runs well. The seller was worried about the transmission (it's an auto) and I can see where at 40-50 miles an hour it has a little trouble shifting...I have not put in any anti-slip or tranny treatment (any recommendations) it was an opportunistic purchase, the guy either had to take it with him or get it to Wisconsin somehow. I enjoy doing body work on the side, so I may clean this one up if it's worth it...

My 3 and 5 year old love the "custom" horn button.

Another question, the fuel gauge does not work...it floats up to the top when full but then slowly goes back down. That seems to be an issue with the sensor at the tank, correct? Not in the gauge itsself..
