need help asap

    hello guys my fellow toyota friend

    its your boy jerry i just finish installing a new head gasket on my 22er pick up now i have done everthing the right way now my problems is the engine wont fire up it only cranks and cranks my niebor toll me that my timing was off and to use a bigger battery to start it now i wanna if its that rue or what do i have to to fire the engine again thank you guys for looking at my post

    Check your timing. Make sure the distributor is on point. And the easiest to forget sometimes....Make sure it has gas....

    as mentioned, check the timing. make sure that when the distributor went in at tdc your rotor should have been pointing to the no.1 cylinder firing position. double check all your work and make sure you connected everything correctly.

    your battery should be enough to crank your motor over if everything is done correctly. if it goes low, get it charged or send it to auto zone to have it charged. they dont charge you anything to do so.

    right? :lol:

    i would hope the "bigger battery" suggestion came from hearing it struggle to start for more than a few minutes, the battery draining, and thus not having enough to crank it over well enough........... thats what i would think anyways.

    thank you guys i got it running now with you guys help now i have a lil problem with one injector my o ring keep getting damge on my fuel is dripping like crazy will fix later on the day
