Has anyone every redrilled the holes where the leaf springs bolt to to lower the truck an extra inch or 2?

I talked to a guy with a Nissan HB that did this to drop his truck. This is the truck.

I did this but it was also to move the axle back so I was able to get more drop. You can only get maybe an inch and thats if you raise the shackle mount too.Alot of work for a small amount, but it looks better that seeing so much spring(cleaner profile) and you can use a smaller block.(ie better for your springs)

    this also a 93 frame.

I know it is probably a lot of work for such a little drop but i think teamed with 3 inch drop leafs and this one inch mod would be pretty nice. It would hide the leaf springs a little more. I feel that my leaf springs hang so low and are always in the way. It is like a big zit to me. Everyone can see it and i am self conscious about it. haha

O I wasn't trying to talk you out of it, I agree with you. If you can, raise front and rear, it will help keep your pinion angle closer. You ever hang up on the perches?this may help.

Yeah the first foot i drove the truck i was hung up on the driveway. It was a bad start for the first time driving. ;)
How prefect do you think they would need to be drilled to not cause a problem?

I made a template where the the hole started and then made a center (punch)mark where I wanted it.Use on all four spots, An old beer box works great, Just make sure you don't go too high and can't fit the spring.I had one hole off a slight bit but I don't think it will be an issue.

I would also like to do a 4 link static drop as well. It think that would be tight

When my truck was a daily I was always draggin through the front leaf springs, so I raised mine alittle more than an inch. Never had another problem after that, but I was lucky to have a 1/2 drill & a plasma cutter to cut the hangers.
