What is the proper amount of play allowed in an 74 Hilux?

    Thanks

i dont know, but i put two turns in on my 70 steering box and it helped alot. i might give it another turn.

just back off the jam nut with a 14 and screw the stud in with a flat head. took 2 minutes.

    The allowable play is 1.2"

But yes the adjustment does not seem hard.

    Thanks

I gots no truck, for now
make sure your steering box isnt flexing back and forth, i found a weld at the back side of the box that attacheds a mounting bracket for it broken and causing an extreme amount of play in the entire box.

i kinda wondered why the truck kept changing lanes on me.
