Hey guys, im looking into putting rear disc brakes on the rear and replacing the old drums. Are there conversions, or interchangeable parts from the 4runners. How can this be done, any info welcome.

The 4runner stuff is 6 lug, so yea they wouldnt work unless you had a 4wd.

Ive "heard" that mustang SVO (like a 85) rear rotors fit perfect on a toyota axle, But I never tried it.

I started to swap 94 and up Cobra brakes onto my 1 ton dually G code axle. Got sidetracked and never finished it, but here are a few pics...

LC Engineering brake kit is no longer available for the 5 lug.I was going to order them and they said it is no longer available so I went with Revolution Brake kits instead. Much better kit.Only draw back is it cost more. But you get what you pay for.

If you don't mind what does the kit run and how was the install of it?

The front and rear cost me $1900. 4 piston wilwood calipers all the way around and 13 inch cross drilled rotors

Actually a decent price for a complete Wilwood kit. My 350Z kit was $2600.

I'm still waiting on the rear set up from Revolution. I've got the front. Those guys are cool. They took apart their shop truck to make the rear brackets for the rear kit.The rear caliper is going to have 4 pistons but smaller size than the front.I've got pics of the front.Just waiting on the rear to install everything.

Now I just can't decide to install them on my 94 rear or my 81 toyota rear that I've got laying around. The 81 rear I think is almost 2 inches narrower than the 94 rear.

Damn those are nice! If your capable you could make your own brackets buy the mustang rotors and use an older model gm caliper that has built in ebrake
