I've lurked the site for a while now and finally decided to be able to chime in here and there. It will also be nice to be apart of a forum that is actually supportive and positive towards it's members lol. I guess you could say I'm a Honda guy seeing how I've owned over 30 Honda's alone and over 50 cars to date in total, but I wouldn't classify myself as one at all... if anything I'm just a "car guy" in general. I have a few Toyotas, for example... 1987 Corolla GTS (AE86) which is still my favorite car I have ever owned, which is saying a lot considering some of the cars I've had. I have also had 2 IS200's ('99,'01), 1989 Toyota Pickup that was purchased new 2 months before I was born in '89 by my grandfather and handed down to me, and a '91 Corolla that I got for free that was in ridiculously great shape with 90k original miles and it showed. Anywho... the reason I got my most recent Toy is because I was teaching my brother how to drive a manual in the '89 and he ended up crashing the car literally into my garage and then one week later totaling the car 2 blocks from the house. Soo yeah lol, I now own a 1986 2wd standard cab that has been to hell and back... but hey, my brother was decent enough to give it to me seeing how he kinda ruined my last truck haha. I never modded the '89 because I used it as a work truck and had other projects that took up most of my time anyway. This one shall be different though, I do have some plans for this one but they will definitely come slowly but surely. I'm glad to say that this will be my first mini build!! A lot of inspiration from the site to help with that decision. SOOooo enough rambling... feel free to ask any questions. Haha the intro was awesome. It was always good to hear a little bit about the owner. I loved the cars, I have a silver SI just like that too. Mine is a 2002 but is stock right now. Need to see some pictures of the truck now
Haha thanks, and yeah I will get picks of the truck soon. I just finished changing the timing chain, rear main, clutch and flywheel. All thats left is to give her a wash and snap a few pics. I might even wait 'til I lower her, which might be this weekend or something
Thanks for the welcome everyone... I will be gettin a build thread goin here pretty soon. I've been working on just cleaning her up the past couple days. I have a buddy with some Enkei 92's that are 15x8 +10 (I think on the offset) 5x114.3 that I will prolly try to make work on the truck. I think they will look pretty sick. I just need to make sure the center bore is big enough, then I can worry about the width and low offset haha
