    Hey Gang,

    Quick question..
My high beams don't come on, the blue light on the dash comes on and my markers stay on.. but no headlights..
pull the stem back to flash the highs come on...
So that tells me it's not a ground or power issue, that seems to only leave the high/low switch... but before pulling the steering wheel and such, I thought I'd ask if any of you had seen such and it not be the switch.
    TIA.

    Pete

Nobody ever answered this? I am having the same problem and I searched and found this. Can anyone say why this happens? I don't want to have to hold the high beam switch back while I am driving.

It sounds like it is losing connection internally in your steering column. I am guessing it has a rocker switch but is not staying engaged.

Yup I had that issue once upon a time. Took the headlight switch apart and cleaned all the old nasty grease off and buffed the contacts with an emery board and smeared it with dialectic grease and it was fine from there on out.

i had that problem i took it too toyota n they said its a short in the relay for the head lights its a blue wire the pulled it out of the relay n spliced it n they changed the head light wires. it cost 450 but they said later you will need a new relay box n they only sell it with the whole steering colum n all the wires with it but that cost 1700. so i would go wit the splice job for now it works n its cheaper.I hope this helps.

I have a parts truck maybe I should just tear the whole steering wheel n **** out and then it will work. My freaking signals aren't working either.

Yea. I had the signals working perfectly. Then I worked on some other stuff. Went to drive it and the switch on the column no longer did a thing. The hazard lights work still. I know that when there is something wrong with the signals sometimes it will flash real quick. But it's not even doing that.
