I recently put the smaller 81 style booster on my 87. Ever since then, the pedal has to go almost to the floor before the truck starts braking. I have the pedal adjust to get the most swing out of it. Is there a difference in the push rod between the booster and master? If not, what would be causing this problem?

    Thanks
    Trey

Is the master the same size? You may have a smaller bore master? I have a bunch of 87 style master kicking around if you need one.FYI
I ran a 13/16ths on a 4 wheel disc 4x4 and the pedal went to the floor before I changed it to a 15/16ths, then finally got a 1 inch landcruiser master.

I don't have the old booster. All I switched out was the booster, so I still have the same master. Any Ideas? Will a land cruiser master bolt on to my booster? what year and make? Any mods needed? Any other ideas as to why my brakes are going to the floor?

    Thanks
    Trey

My guess is maybe too much vacuum, but would that just make the pedal super easy (small boster w/same vac) or you have to try and adjust/ which the rod.
The lc master they is from a mid 90s fj80 but that because they are set up for 4 discs.
