so this is turning into quite a project............ although a challenge, ive been finding that lowering the 4x4 chassis is actually not all too impossible and will somewhat emulate the process of lowering a 2wd chassis.....

ill be updating this thread on my end with some pictures of the measures i will take. anyone have a relatively stock height 4x4 to take a ride height measurement to give me a relative starting point to keep track of how low this is gonna go?

i need a measurement from the center of the front hub, to the top bottom line of the front fender. same process for the rear....

Why not measure from the frame to the ground?

because i am measuring suspension drop not ground clearance. also, i forget where i read this but its how you are "supposed" to measure for lift or drop changes. its more accurate to measure how low you have gone in a suspension drop by measuring the center point of your hub to the body since that is the area you are changing and is a more consistent measure. :waytogo:

I'm really interested to see how low you are going to be able to get this thing. Have you thought of just getting a 88 extra cab 2wd frame and swapping the 4x4 frame out? I guess it all depends on how low you are planning to go.

Yea.. i thought about it for awhile.. but i figure if i left it in Alex's hands aka SD Yota.. im sure he could make some magic happen..haha. Regardless of what height he can achieve I'll be happy with it.. all i know is that i might need some over fenders so that this wheel/tire combo can sit flush :D
